^{A graduate of the University of Ottawa with a degree in Business Commerce – Management, Funmi began laying the foundation for Mayze Atelier within the walls of a classroom. What started as a class project quickly transformed into a calling. Under the mentorship of a business professor who encouraged her to break industry barriers, Funmi set out to create a brand rooted in delivering luxurious, one-of-a-kind stone pieces at accessible prices. Her mission? To beat the market with both vision and value.}

^{Even before graduation, Funmi was leaving a mark. She founded the BIPOC Business Society on campus—an organization that continues to inspire and support a new wave of student entrepreneurs, creatives, and future founders. Her leadership didn’t stop in the classroom. With work experience spanning prestigious organizations like Ernst & Young, the Ottawa Board of Trade, and Ottawa Tourism, Funmi mastered the foundational principles of business, strategy, and diplomacy—only to boldly step away and lead her own ventures with grace, clarity, and conviction.}

^{Today, Funmi confidently leads a global team of designers, design engineers, and logistics experts across three continents, orchestrating every detail of the Mayze experience—from quarry to client. Whether it’s hand-selecting marble in Carrara, collaborating with artisans in Malaysia , or designing alongside her in-house team, she approaches each decision with both reverence and imagination.}
